Anna's EsSCENTials Bodycare creates fine herbal olive oil handmade soaps and body products. Made the slow, old-fashioned cold-process way at our Kentucky soap studio, we use only the purest vegetable oils (olive, sunflower, hemp, almond, coconut, wheat germ and hazelnut for example). Commecial soaps are generally just detergents. They use harsh ingredients like chemicals, petroleum based ingredients and animal fat, and remove good ingredients like glycerin for other body products like lotion. Handmade soap, particularly olive oil soap, draws moisture to the skin through humectant properties. Additionally, the use of essential oils for scents can provide other qualities like calming, revitalizing, and curative properties.
