When crafting items of clothing and accessories for babies and children it's important to emphasize safety. Be careful about leaving long ties on hats for example as they can be a choking hazard. Also, beware of small pieces that may come loose such as buttons. While I use safety pins in the Adult size hats which I make to attach removeable flowers with, I make sure to sew the flowers onto the hats for babies and children for the utmost safety.
