Jewelry Making Crafty Tip
When I make multiple stranded necklaces with tiny beads such as seed beads, I love the bead spinner. There are two kinds in the market and I prefer the battery operated one over the hand cranked model. It makes life so much easier. The batteries last a long time too.

Jewelry Care Crafty Tip
When you are not wearing your sterling silver jewelry regularly (which keeps it from tarnishing), place it in an airtight ziploc bag (which also keeps it from tarnishing as fast).

Jewelry Buying Crafty Tip
When measuring for necklace length don't forget to take pendent length and weight into consideration otherwise your beautiful new necklace and pendant may get lost among your clothes.

Pepi Designs Contemporary Jewelry

My goal is to make women feel beautiful and special when they wear one of my pieces. Pepi Designs is inspired by the elegance and sophistication of the European and American cultures. I love making pieces at affordable prices, that could accentuate your cocktail party dress, or just be a playful addition to your daily attire. I enjoy working with earthly tones, gemstones and silver, but I’m always open to requests and custom designs. Thank you for visiting!

Jewelry Crafty Tip
1. Feel like you have too many beads you don't need anymore and don't know what to do with them? Find a local community of jewelry artists and organize a bead swap!
2. To prolong the life of your sterling silver jewelry, never shower, swim or bath with your jewelry on; keep it in a dry non-humid place, in a jewelry box if possible.
3. To polish silver jewelry, first boil water and then pour it in a dish. Lay your jewelry flat on the bottom, and sprinkle a bit of baking soda on top of the water and jewelry. Leave it for 20-30 minutes, then take it out and gently dry with a towel. Note that this is only for silver jewelry - if your jewelry has gemstones, this may not be appropriate.

Jewelry Making Crafty Tip
The higher the number for the wire gauge, the thinner the wire. Wrap your pliers with tape to avoid marring your jumprings.

Crafty Tip
My most important tip is craft for the love of it! The passion will carry you. If you're in it just to make money, your creations will lack soul. My daughter and I love creating together. Find a friend, craft from your heart. Make a list of favorite colors, textures, materials, scents, etc. Work from these.

Packaging & Branding Crafty Tip
Packaging is important. Make sure that you take care in shipping your crafts. It's the buyers first impression. Boxes, organza bags, tissue paper, bubble wrap. Add your invoice and a thank you note. Don't forget a few business cards. I have a brand-and everything included in my packaging has my "brand" or logo. Do everything you can so that your customer remembers you.

jaxGEMS

I love making unique, mostly one of a kind jewelry. Most of my creations are made from genuine gemstones and sterling silver. But I have discovered I can also make very pretty pieces using less expensive materials too.

Unique. Because you are.

Beading Crafty Tip
When working with seed beads, I prefer to buy them already strung (or by the hank). That way I do not need to use a bead spinner or put them on the strand one at a time, I can just run my new stringing material through the beads and then take the old stringing material out. (this doesn't really apply to intricate type designs but is especially good for multiple strand seed bead type necklaces.)
