Crafty Tips:
It is always a good idea to read the instructions carefully before you start stitching a needlepoint kit. A common mistake is to use continental stitch instead of half cross stitch, which is often used on British designs.
With half cross stitch, the stitches should be diagonal on the front of the canvas and vertical on the back of the canvas. If you switch to continental stitch, where the stitches are diagonal on the front and diagonal on the back, it will take a lot more wool to complete your project.
