Any craft-related site can participate in CraftyTips.com. We have several advertising options to bring your website greater visibility on CraftyTips.com. This page explains our 3 advertising options and how you can use them to advertise your crafty website.
General Terms
- All paid advertising options are made available on a first come, first served basis.
- Advertisers will only be accepted if their websites meet all other submission requirements.
- If the site would not be accepted for a free listing in one of the categories, it will not be accepted for advertising - NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Once accepted, advertisers will have 3 business days to complete payment before the next person on the list is given the opportunity.
- Current advertisers are given first right of refusal to continue their current advertising.
- Current advertisers who do not complete payment by the end of the advertising period will retain their regular links within the directory, but will be removed from any featured placement.
- Site owners who let their advertising lapse will be able to regain their featured placement if there is space available.
- Advertising rates and periods may be subject to change and renewals are charged the most current rates posted on CraftyTips.com.

6 months for $15 for parent categories
6 months for $5 for interior categories with purchase of parent category
n6 months for $10 for interior categories without sponsorship of parent category

Category Graphic Sponsorship Guidelines
- Only one advertiser per category during sponsorship period.
- Advertisor's website must be accepted for inclusion in the selected category.
- Pictures will reside on CraftyTips.com.
- Advertisor gives CraftyTips.com the right to display the image during the sponsorship period, but retains all other copyrights.
- Picture may be no larger than 200 pixels by 200 pixels.
- Picture must accurately represent the category it is associated with.
- All Category Graphics will be captioned with the text: Category picture courtesy of:
- Sponsor's website/company name will be listed as an SEO-friendly link.
- Sponsor may choose the link destination, but the destination must be a page is part of a website already accepted for inclusion in CraftyTips.com and must relate to the category being sponsored.
- Renewing category graphic advertisers will be able to continue using the current graphic or can supply a new one.
- Should it be proven that the graphic provided is not owned by the advertiser and violates the copyrights of a third party, the graphic and all other references to the site will be removed from Crafty Tips and no monies will be refunded.
- Interior category discount given to advertisers sponsoring that interior category's parent category. For example, someone who sponsors the Crochet parent category could purchase sponsorship for the Free Crochet Patterns interior category at the discounted rate, but will not get the discounted rate for sponsoring Free Knitting Patterns.

- Favorite Tips are featured on the front page of CraftyTips.com
- Favorite Tips include a graphic of the advertiser's choice.
- Favorite Tips include the crafty tip submitted with the advertiser's site or may include a new crafty tip.
- Favorite Tips include an SEO-friendly link to the advertiser's website or company name.
Favorite Tips Sponsorship Guidelines
- Pictures will reside on CraftyTips.com and may be the same picture used for the regular listing or one of the advertiser's choice.
- Advertiser gives CraftyTips.com the right to display the image during the sponsorship period, but retains all other copyrights.

- Featured listing will appear at the top of the list for that category.
- Listing will be displayed in different colors from the regular listings.
- Featured listings are limited to 3 per category.
Featured Listing Guidelines
- Featured listings must be first accepted as a regular listing and then upgraded.
- Expired Featured Listings will continue to be shown, but will revert to a regular listing.

May I advertise on CraftyTips.com if I do not have a craft-related site?
No.
How do I pay?
Once accepted, site owners will be given instructions via email on how to make payment.
Can I pre-pay for my advertising?
No.
My site is already accepted, how can I add advertising?

My site is accepted, I am willing to pay, why was I not accepted as an advertiser?
The Category Graphic Sponsorship has space for only one advertiser per category and the Our Favorite Tips Sponsorship is limited to 10 advertisers.
Is there a waiting list?
Certain advertising options may have a waiting list.
Do I need to prepay to be put on the waiting list?
No. Since existing advertisers are given first right of refusal, the advertising option may not come available.

- Link will appear on every page of Blog About Crafts.
Help keep The Crafty Tipster a free site with advertising for six months for $10.
- Site must be eligible for a free listing on Crafty Tips.
- Space will be limited to one line of the footer for all advertisers.
- Linked text will be limited to the official name of each site listed.
- Existing advertisers are given first right of refusal.
- Link will appear on every page of The Crafty Tipster.
Free Advertising on The Crafty Tipster
The Crafty Tipster is a website that offers free and licensed patterns and project ideas for crafters of all skill levels. To keep the site interesting and to provide a wider array of crafts, we invite crafters to share their patterns and project ideas on our site. Crafters will be given full credit for the pattern or project with a short bio and link at the bottom of the page their pattern or project appears on. They will also be included on our Meet the Designers page which will include links to each of their projects appearing on The Crafty Tipster as well as a direct link to their own website or online shop.
This is a great opportunity for Etsians and other shared site shop owners to promote their finished items and patterns for sale.
We do ask that all patterns and projects include complete instructions and a picture of the finished item. Pictures that further illustrate how to construct the item are also welcome. Pictures may be resized to fit available space and will also be used within the category(s) the item appears in as part of our menu structure.
All copyrights to the pattern or project and accompanying pictures will be retained by the designer with The Crafty Tipster having rights for their use. Please do not submit the same pattern or project to other websites as this can cause the search engines to inflict duplicate content penalties on all of the sites with the project, which will hurt the effectiveness of the advertising option The Crafty Tipster provides crafters.
If you do not see a category for the type of crafts that you make and are interested in becoming a Crafty Tipster, please let us know and we can create a new category to showcase your pattern or project.
All instructions must be complete and in English. Instructions must be clear and the project needs to be worth making - always keep in mind our sites are all family -friendly sites and we will maintain the same level of quality standards as we do on Crafty Tips.
Projects for adults and children are welcome as well as holiday and pet themed projects.
