Crafty Tip
The Jewelers Looping Method is one technique to close an eye pin onto a soldered jump ring . Hold the pair of pliers around 1/2 inch from the end of the eye pin wire and bend it at a 90-degree angle. Grab the end of the bent portion of the wire and tightly wrap it around the pliers creating a complete circle. Make sure you put the soldered jump ring inside before closing the circle.

Crafty Tip
Use a no-fray liquid (found at fabric shops) on the ends of macrame cord to keep the ends from fraying! It dries fairly hard and will make it much easier to thread on tiny seed beads.

Cross Stitch Needles: You will need a tapestry needle or one that is labeled for the count of cross stitch fabric you wish to use. Tapestry needles have a blunt end and a large eye for easier threading. Keep an extra needle in case the first one breaks or bends. There are nickel, gold and platinum plated needles. The gold and platinum needles last longer and slide easier than the traditional nickel plated needle. If you are a serious cross stitcher, you may want to consider gold or platinum.
