How to Submit A Site

Submitting Your Site to Crafty Tips

Submitting your site to the Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory is free and really easy.

Visit the category where you think your site best fits.

At the top of the page, just under the logo, you should see a menu item called Suggest Link.

Click on the Suggest Link menu item and then follow the instructions on the page it takes you to.

If you still have trouble or cant find a good category for your site, at the end of your Crafty Tip, let me know what category you would like your site to appear in or if you would like for me to create a new category or sub-category for you. New category suggestions will be considered but are not a promise; but, I will make every effort to ensure that your listing is located somewhere that I believe will help bring visitors and/or customers to your site and provide your site with the most exposure to visitors looking for what you offer.

As always, if you have any questions, please use my www.craftytips.com/contacts.php page to ask for help.

Tips on Crafting Your Tips

The tips portion of Crafty Tips was designed to make Crafty Tips a bit more fun and interesting. It seems that some submitters are stumped when trying to come up with a good tip. Here are a few things to consider that might help you to come up with your tip.

  1. Think about some little thing you know now that you didn't know when you first starting making your items. Think of those things that have become second nature but may not be obvious to a beginner.
  2. Maybe talk about some wonderful product you have found (not your own) that can be used or repurposed for the crafts you make.
  3. Maybe talk about how to store or keep your raw materials for neatness, easy access or longevity.
  4. Perhaps offer a tip about displaying or marketing the types of craft you make.
  5. Pretend you are explaining what you do to a younger family member - anything that you would explain with words like, "Always remember to", "Don't forget to", "Learned not to the hard way", etc could make a good tip.

Remember while this is for fun, it also helps to show you know your craft. It's my belief that those submitters who offer the better tips might get more traffic than the sites that dont.
