What is CraftyTips.com?

CraftyTips.com is a new concept directory site.

In one convenient location, site visitors can research crafty websites and find useful crafty tips.

The crafty tips provide visitors with a great source of crafting information and will also improve and target the content, improve the overall page rank, and search engine optimization of each page. By supplying a quick tip on your specialty: you show your knowledge on the craft, should get more hits from CraftyTips.com, and gain a more valuable and topical backlink.

Payment for a listing in CraftyTips.com is a short tip related to your website, category chosen, and area of specialty.

All Crafty Tips

1. Must be in English.
2. Need not be in perfectly grammatically-correct sentences, but they must be understandable and complete.
3. May be edited for clarity and spelling.
4. Must not already appear in the Crafty Tips directory.
5. Should be directly related to the category the site is submitted to.
6. Should mention all or part of the category name at least once.
7. May not be a list of keywords and offer no helpful information.
8. Must not make excessive use of capitalization.

Crafty Tips may not contain any of the following:

1. Additional promotional language. Information about your site may only be listed in your description.
2. Suggestions to visit your site for additional information.
3. Any offensive or hurtful language.

Types of Sites Accepted

• All sites will be evaluated based upon the category they are submitted to.
• Sites containing content that fits in more than one category must have several pages directly related to the category in which they were submitted. For example, if you sell finished goods and list a single free pattern; you will not be accepted in the free pattern category.
• Sites must be in English.
• If your site offers finished goods for sale, they must: either be made by you, under consignment to you, or part of a cooperative site that offers products from a variety of artisans.
• Blatant submissions to the wrong category will cause a site to be banned.
• No sites containing adult content, hurtful language, or anything else not child-friendly will be accepted.
• Sites hosted at free hosts or are located on larger sites, such as Etsy, will be accepted; but may be more thoroughly reviewed prior to inclusion.
• Sites that appear to be only made for Adsense and offer no apparent value to the visitor will not be accepted.

Submission Guidelines

• Please submit the URL of your domain or of the page where the content matches that of the category being submitted to. (You may submit up to three links to your site, but all three links must be to pages that are included on your main navigation menu.
• Sites submitting multiple pages from the same domain must submit each page to a different category or subcategory.
• Site titles will become your link text. Since sites are listed in the order in which they were received (oldest first), link text has no impact on listing order and should be used to describe your site.
• Do not capitalize every word in your description. Write a description that is informational and not merely a list of keywords. Site titles and descriptions that are keyword stuffed will not be accepted.
• If a site offers only links to other sites, the description must convey that. For example: We have listed sites that have free doily patterns. All links are categorized as to type and difficulty. Visit our site and quickly find the pattern you need for your next project.
  

Images

All sites listed in the Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory are accompanied by a product picture, project picture or logo. This has been done to help invite visitors of Crafty Tips to in turn visit the sites we advertise. By submitting to Crafty Tips, you are granting us permission to use one of your pictures.

Each site is human-reviewed and the picture to be used is chosen by Crafty Tips. Once the picture has been chosen and the listing has been posted, an email will be sent to the submittor with a link and the option to request a different image be used. It is understandable that a website owner may not wish to use a particular picture for a variety of reasons - just reply to the email and let us know and tell us if you have a picture that you would prefer us to use.

Picture Details

Site owners retain all copyrights to pictures used on Crafty Tips. To ensure availability, a common format, and prevent any foolishness, all pictures will reside on our server. All pictures are resized to 100px wide with no specific height limitation, with most being 150px high or less and given a blue and white border.

Picture Use

Pictures from our listed sites will only be used with their listing. They will not be used to promote another site listed on Crafty Tips, affiliate or other advertising for another website or company, or any other site affiliated with Crafty Tips without prior written (e-mail) approval from the copyright holder.

Reciprocal links are greatly appreciated, but are not required. If you do opt to place a link for craftytips.com on your website please use the following URL, link text and description:
