Quilt Design Crafty Tip
Better borders for scrappy quilts: Think of your quilt as a picture in a frame. If the main portion of the quilt is very busy with lots of scrappy pieces, pick a subdued print for the border. A very busy print will detract from the quilt while a border that has a low contrast will tone down the liveliness, making a more pleasant combination.

Quilting Crafty Tip
My tip is to help to line up your seams accurately when joining blocks. When you have lined up the two seams put a pin at right angles to the seam you are about to sew. Sew over the top of it before removing so that the seams cannot move.
