Crafts For All Seasons

Craft projects for every season of the year! Free step by step instructions and photos to help along the way. Many easy craft projects for children, and more challenging projects for adults.

Thrifty Tip
Save your empty vegetable and soup cans, they can be re-used for many different craft projects. Even the soup can lids can be painted and be made into magnets, mobiles, gift tags, etc. Empty soup cans and tall chip cans can be made into tin can luminaries, buffet silverware holders, or holiday card holders.

Holiday Crafts and Creations

This is a site where visitors can get ideas for holiday projects and crafts. Each project has complete step by step instructions and multiple photos. Most craft projects are intended for adults but many would also be great for kids and could be a fun family activity. We also have a Helpful Hints section that is a resource for crafting tips and techniques. Projects on our site range from scrapbooking/card making to sewing to polymer clay and more.

Recycled Crafting Tip
To give an old frame a new look, try covering it in felt. Simply trace about 2" around the outside of the frame onto felt. Then cut a small square out of the middle of the felt about 2" in. Cut diagonal slits in each of the four outside corners and inside corners. This will allow you to wrap the felt around the frame. Sew on any fun design you wish before wrapping the the felt around the frame and sewing it together on the back. You could make this into a great gift for Valentine's Day, Christmas, Mother's Day or Father's Day!

Ghoul Friday

Ghoul Friday is a celebration of Halloween as it should be. Ghosts, goblins, skulls and all sorts of spooky stuff. This self-proclaimed ghoul shares her artistic endeavors as she paints, sculpts and paper mach├ęs. Luckily for us, she gives us a peek into her creative ghoulishness as well as shares some tutorials and techniques on creating things from scratch or enhancing found items that are not as great as they could be.

Crafting Tip
I like using several layers of newsprint for messy projects. Unlike plastic bags, they absorb some of the wetness. But, the best part is that if your work surface becomes too sticky or messy, you can just roll up the top layers (encasing any bits of debris) and have a clean, new work surface.
