Tatting & Lace Crafty Tip

Bobbins come with a small hole at the bottom. This hole is there so you can attach a spangle. A spangle is simply a small ring of wire with a few beads that will help the bobbin to lie flat on your lace pillow, help you to keep track of your bobbin pairs, and are simply decorative.

When first learning how to tat, it may be easier to learn if you start with a thicker thread, maybe even as large as Size #3 Pearl Cotton.
